The National Secretary of the Northern Christian Forum for Tinubu, Hon. Joseph Maiwada, has expressed the forum’s unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, commending his strides in governance and national development since assuming office on May 29, 2023.

Speaking during a press briefing in Abuja, Hon. Maiwada emphasized the collective responsibility of all Nigerians to contribute towards building a better nation through loyalty, dedication, and selflessness.

He noted that Nigeria’s past challenges were rooted in the lack of focused and experienced leadership capable of making decisive decisions for the benefit of all citizens.

“Our forum has been at the forefront of advocating for peace, fairness, and justice. When the opportunity to elect new leadership arose in 2023, we decided to look beyond ethnicity and religion. We campaigned tirelessly for President Tinubu because we believed in his capacity to restore Nigeria’s lost glory,” Hon. Maiwada stated.

Highlighting the administration’s achievements, the forum praised President Tinubu’s anti-corruption efforts and economic policies, which have improved stability during festive periods. They noted the absence of fuel queues, a reduction in fuel prices, and the improved security situation across the country.

The group also lauded the appointments of northerners to key positions, including Mohammed Badaru as Minister of Defense, George Akume as Secretary to the Government of the Federation, and Nuhu Ribadu as National Security Adviser.

They celebrated the establishment of a Federal University and Medical Center in Southern Kaduna as a testament to President Tinubu’s commitment to inclusive governance.

Additionally, the forum commended the administration’s revitalization of the oil sector, including ongoing work at the Port Harcourt and Warri refineries and the rollout of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) initiatives. These measures, they said, would ease economic hardships and create job opportunities for Nigerian youth.

“President Tinubu has shown unwavering dedication to Nigeria’s progress. Few years into his administration, we are confident that our choice of President Tinubu was the right one,” Hon. Maiwada declared.

The forum passed a vote of confidence on President Tinubu and praised George Akume for his loyalty and dedication to the administration. Hon. Maiwada urged him to remain steadfast despite criticisms, noting that his efforts have strengthened Nigeria’s democracy.

The briefing concluded with a call for sustained patriotism and unity to ensure Nigeria continues on the path of peace, progress, and prosperity.
