LG Chairman Offers Free Medical Outreach To Diabetic Patients

The chairman of Dambam local government area of Bauchi State, Hon Yakubu Garba, yesterday offered free consultancy and medical assistance to diabetic patients in the area.

During the outreach on Friday, the chairman provided the services to hundreds of the patients who turned up for checkup of their status and for drugs.

According to the chairman, the gesture was in line with the promise he made during the 2024 World Diabetes Day.

Hon Garba had promised to provide monthly consultation, test and distribution of free drugs to all patients within the local government.

Addressing the beneficiaries, the chairman assured them that the gesture would continue till the end of his tenure.

Garba also appealed to those who have not checked their diabetic status to do so to maintain their health.

The chairman appreciated the good work of Governor Bala Mohammed for providing the desired dividends of democracy to the citizens.
