Hon Femi Bamisile, a member of the House of Representatives representing Ekiti South Federal Constituency II in the national assembly, has restated his commitment to supporting the Ekiti state government in tackling joblessness and poverty among the state’s youth.

The federal lawmaker said such underscores his actions on youth empowerment and economic emancipation.

Bamisile said he had facilitated jobs for over a hundred youths across the three local governments that made up his constituency in his stint at the lower chamber of the national assembly.
On Wednesday, he spoke in Ado Ekiti while interacting with some stakeholders as part of strategies to promote Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administration ahead of the 2026 governorship poll.

He said federal jobs were recently secured for six employment seekers in his constituency through his office at the Federal University of Transportation, Daura, Katsina State, the Nigerian Police Force, Federal Fire Services, and other Teaching jobs.

The lawmaker said he decided to intensify efforts to secure jobs for youths to reduce poverty and crime in the state and complement Governor Oyebanji’s efforts to stem the tide of criminalities.

“This was part of what we can do to complement what Governor Oyebanji was doing to alleviate poverty and give the youth a sense of belonging.

“In the last five years, I have secured federal jobs for over a hundred people across the three Local governments in my constituency.

“Youth inclusion in governance starts with getting them jobs that can unlock their potential, not about political appointments alone.

“The youths are too strategic to be neglected. They represent today and the future of this state, and we must spare no effort to place them where they can fully enhance their potential and God-given talents”.

Bamisile urged the beneficiaries to justify the confidence reposed in them by putting their physical, intellectual, emotional, and moral endowments into the jobs they are saddled with, demonstrating that Ekiti people are hardworking and resourceful citizens.
