Kaduna State commissioner for internal security and home affairs, Dr James Atung Kanyip, has said Governor Uba Sani’s administration focuses on addressing the root causes of insecurity while fostering mutual understanding among stakeholders.

Kanyip, who stated this when he led a delegation on a security assessment tour of Chikun and Kajuru local government areas, highlighted the administration’s preference for non-kinetic approaches to resolving security issues, stressing the importance of dialogue and community engagement in achieving lasting peace.

The commissioner explained that the visit was part of the state government’s broader security initiative, which included extensive consultations with local stakeholders, traditional leaders, and security operatives in both council areas, which have experienced various security challenges in recent months.

He said the high-level meeting is part of the Kaduna State government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen security measures and restore stability in troubled areas.

Kanyip, however, emphasised the state government’s commitment to implementing sustainable security solutions through collaborative efforts.
