LEADERSHIP Friday gathered from sources that the long-awaited memoir will be all revealing, covering his childhood to his military presidency, which culminated in the annulment of June 12 general election.
It was gathered that the book would reveal his roles in various coups, his bravery during the civil war, and the botched Dimka coup.
The source hinted that the book’s early chapters are dedicated to his formative years when he lost his parents and grew up under guardians. This helped to sharpen his social reflexes and understanding of the world and humanity.
It was also learnt that the book dwells on his ascension to power amid daunting challenges and how his strong social ties within the military helped him to overcome many challenges.
He also revealed his decision on the annulment of June 12 and the roles of all the characters before the decision was taken, while also explaining his role during the 1999 return to democracy and his roles in the present democratic dispensation.
