After signing the MoU, Governor Alex Otti said the terms would lead the deployment of metropolitan optic fibre infrastructure in the three major cities of Aba, Umuahia and Ohafia.

“The event marks a turning point in the socio-economic development of the state. The group will begin a survey of the state immediately for the purpose of implementing the MoU,”  he noted.

According to the governor, the project when  completed would affect the educational, health, and other institutions in the state positively.

*The project would equally impact network operators whose services would now be felt in rural areas with high connectivity spots and provide direct and indirect employments to our teeming youths.”
