The incidents occurred on Thursday January 23 and Friday January 24, respectively.

He expressed his condolences on the death, which struck at a time between Salatul maghrib and ishai taking the life of accomplished and renowned Islamic scholar and television broadcaster, Amir Qamardeen Ajala, and Friday with the termination of the life of Engr Sunday Makinde, an elder brother of Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde.

The Sultan’s media team in a statement on Saturday said, he recalled his tremendous contributions to Islamic Da’wah via the mimber (temple) and television, radio and the social media, as well as the great effort he made at ensuring a hitch-free Hajj exercise.

On Sunday Makinde’s death, the Sultan told Governor Makinde to “Take heart as the death of your beloved elder brother was beyond all of us.
