The governor made this commendation during a courtesy visit by the foundation’s management team, led by its secretary general, Prof. Adel Al Rushood, at the Government House in Bauchi yesterday.

Bala Mohammed described the foundation’s annual outreach programme as a critical intervention in addressing the growing burden of eye-related health challenges.

Governor Mohammed pledged his administration’s continued support to expand the initiative, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to enhancing healthcare services for its residents.

He also commended the Almuhibbah Foundation for its collaborative role in ensuring underserved communities have access to quality eye care services.

For his part, Professor Adel Al Rushood highlighted the foundation’s use of advanced technology to improve service delivery. He noted the successful extension of outreach programmes in the second quarter of 2023 and the first quarter of 2024, which enabled the foundation to reach a larger segment of the population.

The secretary general emphasized the importance of sustaining the tripartite partnership between Al-Basar, the Bauchi State Government, and the Almuhibbah Foundation to further strengthen the impact of these critical healthcare interventions.
