“I extend my condolences to her husband, parents, and family. Dr. Blessing’s unfortunate death is excruciating and a great loss,” she said.

Drawing on scripture for comfort, Tinubu referenced 1 Thessalonians 5:18, encouraging believers to give thanks in all situations.

She also echoed the biblical passage from Job 1:21, stating, “The LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.”

The First Lady prayed for strength and peace for the family, expressing hope that God’s word would guide them through their grief. “May the Lord God grant you all the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss,” she said. “May her gentle soul rest in peace.”
