The Katsina State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to tackling vandalism and other security challenges through a strengthened partnership with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

This was disclosed during a visit by the NSCDC Katsina State commandant, Aminu Datti Ahmad, to the commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Nasiru Mu’azu Danmusa, in Katsina.

Commandant Ahmad emphasised the NSCDC’s dedication to safeguarding critical infrastructure, highlighting the directives of the commandant general, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, in ensuring national security.

Commending the proactive measures the state government took to address insecurity, he reiterated the Corps’ readiness to collaborate with the ministry in tackling vandalism, which poses a significant threat to public assets and services.

In his response, the commissioner, Danmusa, assured the NSCDC of the government’s full support, emphasising that the administration of Governor Mallam Dikko Umar Radda has made security a top priority since its inception.
