Nzotta stated this while briefing newsmen in Umuahia, the Abia State capital on the forthcoming official inauguration and unveiling of the university located in Ikwuano local government area of the state.

He argued that scholars in such universities need interventions like their counterparts in government-owned universities to conduct holistic research activities.

The VC, who urged the federal government to direct the TETFUND to review its modalities for interventions, used the forum to explain the university’s vision and mission.

According to him, the varsity was established “To promote and provide leadership in research-driven advancement of learning with the ultimate objective of achieving academic excellence in the cognitive and psychomotor domains of the human person.
