The chairman of Fika local government area of Yobe State, Hon Abdul Bukar Gadaka, has appealed to the workers for support in developing the local government area.

The chairman made the appeal when he spoke with some selected journalists in his office in Fika, Yobe State.

According to him, ” I am taking over as the elected chairman of Fika local government, and I am in dire need of your support and cooperation to succeed.

“This is our administration as civil servants and politicians, we must work together to prove ourselves to be worthy servants of the state, ’’ he said.

Gadaka added that “this is our regime, we have to work hard and produce a result.”

He said that teamwork could help in the development of Fika and the state and called for everybody’s support for the desired result.

Speaking further he said, ” Our workers are peace loving and hardworking and with your cooperation, the council would be better off.”

He urged the workers to extend the same support and cooperation given to him during his election for the desired growth and development of the council.

Gadaka also appealed to the workers to improve their working relationship and always work towards the council’s development.

He particularly charged department heads with imbibing good leadership qualities that junior workers could emulate and be proud of.

” I want to appeal to every worker to improve their working relationship and ethics. If you are known for coming late to the office, stop it. This is new Leadership,” said Gadaka.

He assured the workers that his administration would continue to create an enabling environment and prioritise their welfare.
