This was made known in a statement issued by the zonal information officer Rabiu Kura, noting that, the action was taken following a public petition and findings of a committee tasked with the responsibility of overseeing affairs in the emirate.

According to Kura, the committee, which was formed prior to the Emir’s departure for Saudi Arabia to perform the Lesser Hajj, reported a petition from residents regarding a church operating in a residential building at Yadi Quarters, Rano Town, without following the proper legal processes.

“In an address delivered by the Secretary of the Interim Committee Alh.Umar Isa Sarki, it was revealed that the petition raised concerns about the unauthorized church services being conducted.

“Upon receiving the committee’s report, the Emir directed that the church cease its activities immediately, warning that failure to comply could lead to further consequences under the authority of the emirate.
