The organizing committee of the Gateway Games 2024 National Sports Festival has announced Premium Trust Bank as the lead sponsor of the highly anticipated sports fiesta.

This landmark partnership marks the largest single sponsorship agreement in the history of the National Sports Festival.

The unveiling ceremony took place in Abeokuta, where the significance of public-private collaboration in promoting sports development was emphasized. This initiative aligns seamlessly with the vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, which aims to foster a sustainable sports economy in Nigeria.

As Nigeria progresses toward a vibrant and self-sufficient sports sector, the National Sports Festival Organizing Committee expressed its optimism about the positive influence this partnership will have on the Games and the wider sports ecosystem.

The collaboration aims to inspire a new era of excellence in Nigerian sports, elevating the standard of events and engagement.

Dignitaries present at this momentous occasion included Olatokunbo Talabi, Secretary to the Ogun State Government; Wasiu Isiaka, Ogun State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development; Mr. Shina Atilola, Executive Director of Premium Trust Bank; Oluwaseyi Johnson, Chief of Staff to the NSC Director General; Mrs. Modele Sharafa, Chairman of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies LOC; Mrs. Kehinde Ajayi, NSC Director of Press; and Mr. Oladipupo Idowu, Assistant Director at the National Sports Festival Department, among other esteemed guests.

The collaboration with Premium Trust Bank is set to not only enhance the Ogun 2024 National Sports Festival but also establish a new benchmark for corporate involvement in Nigerian sports, paving the way for future partnerships that will benefit athletes and sports enthusiasts alike.
