The member representing Bassa/Jos Federal Constituency of Plateau State, Hon. Daniel Asama, has said the establishment of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC) marks a historic milestone and holds great promise for the economic and social transformation of the region.
Asama stated this while speaking to our correspondent in Jos after a strategic meeting which brought together members of the National Assembly from the North Central states to deliberate on the commission’s objectives and ensure its full implementation.
According to Asama, with the collective support of the government, stakeholders and the people, the North Central zone is on the path to greater development and prosperity.
He added that the assent to the bill establishing the NCDC was a crucial step towards addressing the region’s developmental challenges.
He urged the commission’s leadership to ensure equitable distribution of developmental projects across all states in the zone.
Asama also stated that Plateau State, historically the hub and heartbeat of the North Central region, should be given due consideration in policy formulation and project implementation.
He commended the Presidency, the North Central governors and members of the National Assembly for their dedication in making the commission a reality.
