The Nigerian gospel music scene is buzzing with excitement as renowned gospel artist Omoniyi Joseph Akomolafe, better known as Elgibbor Niyi, has dropped his highly anticipated new single, “Melody.”

In an interview with LEADERSHIP Sunday, the singer shared that the single is a mainstream track infused with afrobeat and a touch of amapiano. This release serves as a lead-up to his upcoming biannual event, Elgibbor Live In Concert (ELIC), which will take place this year in three major Nigerian cities—Lagos, Abuja, and Zaria—featuring both Nigerian and international artists.

The song highlights Elgibbor’s remarkable vocal talent and spiritual depth. It is designed to uplift and inspire listeners, encouraging them to worship and praise God despite life’s challenges.

Having released his first singles in 1999, Elgibbor continues to inspire people around the world. His mission is to help individuals discover their purpose and achieve it.

Since its release, “Melody” has been receiving rave reviews from gospel music enthusiasts and critics alike, with many praising Elgibbor’s unique vocal style and the song’s uplifting lyrics.

With several hit singles and albums to his credit, Elgibbor has established himself as one of the leading voices in the Nigerian gospel music industry.
