Obegolu led the executive council on the 2025 annual retreat to Adamawa State.

The president explained that the aim of the retreat was to strengthen regional business, enhance intra-chamber collaboration, and encourage the exchange of business ideas for meaningful learning.

“As part of the retreat’s activities, Obegolu led the delegation on a courtesy visit to the governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Fintiri.

“The group also engaged with members of the Adamawa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (ADCCIMA) during the visit.”

Obegolu, who presented Gov. Fintiri with an award of excellence, noted that the award recognised him as the best governor in Business Support and Development.

He added that the award also acknowledged Fintiri’s exceptional commitment to fostering business growth and economic development in the state.

According to Obegolu, Adamawa State received the biggest pavilion award for its outstanding participation in the 19th Abuja International Trade Fair (AITF) in 2024.

He lauded the governor’s visionary leadership, citing key initiatives such as the establishment of the Huba Kingdom and six other new emirates and chiefdoms across the state.

Obegolu emphasised that these efforts have significantly contributed to creating a favourable environment for businesses to thrive.

“Gov. Fintiri’s dedication to economic progress is truly commendable. His leadership continues to pave the way for increased investment, trade, and business development,” Obegolu said.

In response, Gov. Fintiri thanked ACCI and ADCCIMA for their visit, describing their presence as both an honour and  remarkable.
