Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has said that his administration came prepared to change the ugly narrative of roads in the state.

Otti stated this when he flagged off the reconstruction and dualisation of the 5.5 kilometres Owerrinta-Umuekea road, which he assured would be completed in 18 months.

In an address entitled “A Gate Way To The New Abia,” the governor assured that under his watch, bad roads would never again be used to describe the state.

His words: “All parts of the state is at the heart of our governance agenda, road infrastructure development is therefore not just a priority, it is a major yardstick for measuring progress.

“What sets us apart is that before we move to any road for a flag-off ceremony like this one, plans must have been made for funds to effectively execute and deliver the project on schedule.
