The Northern Youth Merger Group, a prominent youth coalition within the All Progressives Congress (APC), has lauded President Bola Tinubu for what it described as a significant drop in food inflation, attributing the progress to the administration’s targeted economic policies.

The group’s coordinator, Comrade Mujahid Zaitawa, highlighted the recent data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), which indicated a 25% decline in food inflation.

He pointed to key government interventions, particularly the 50% subsidy on agricultural inputs, as instrumental in boosting food production and stabilizing prices.

Speaking on the development, Zaitawa emphasized that the subsidy has alleviated pressure on farmers, enabling them to produce more despite prevailing economic challenges.

“This initiative has provided much-needed relief to farmers, allowing them to sustain and expand their production capacity,” he said.
