Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has reaffirmed her commitment to a more inclusive and equitable society, urging collective action to bridge social divides as the world marks the International Day of Social Justice.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the First Lady emphasised the need to dismantle barriers that hinder equal opportunities for all Nigerians, particularly marginalised communities.

She echoed the 2025 theme, “Empowering Inclusion: Bridging Gaps for Social Justice,” stressing that every citizen—regardless of gender, ethnicity, or socio-economic background—deserves a chance to thrive.

“Today, we reflect on the progress we have made and acknowledge the challenges that remain in our journey towards social justice,” she said. “It is time to pull down barriers and create inclusive spaces where no one is left behind.”

Mrs Tinubu called on all Nigerians to unite to foster a society where everyone can contribute meaningfully to national development.

She underscored the importance of empowering marginalised groups, ensuring they have the necessary support to succeed.

“As we work together to bridge the gaps that divide us, we build a future where every Nigerian is given a fair chance to reach their full potential,” she added.
