New IBB Varsity VC Assumes Office

Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, was in a joyful mood as Professor Mohammed Hadi Suleiman officially assumed office as substantive vice-chancellor.

The handover ceremony attended by key stakeholders, was marked by expressions of gratitude, prayers, and collective commitment to the institution’s progress.

Speaking shortly after taking over the mantle of leadership, the new vice chancellor, Professor Mohammed Hadi Suleiman expressed his appreciation to the visitor of the school Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago

He acknowledged the overwhelming reception extended to him, describing IBBUL as “home” and stressing the importance of collaboration in achieving institutional success.
He highlighted the University’s strong academic foundation, noting the presence of accomplished Professors and an experienced Management team.

Professor Suleiman called for collective efforts to elevate IBBUL’s ranking, drawing inspiration from Institutions like Covenant University and Ahmadu Bello University.

He emphasized that leadership was a divine trial, urging prayers over congratulations. He encouraged students and staff to contribute ideas for the university’s progress and assured them of an open-door policy for constructive engagement.

He saught for divine guidance for his tenure and prayed for the well-being of all members of the University community.

In a remark before the handing over, the outgone acting vice chancellor, Professor Hassan Ibrahim, expressed his joy at handing over leadership to a substantive vice chancellor.
