The Special Adviser to the President of Nigeria on the Ease of Doing Business, and Executive Secretary of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), Dr Jumoke Oduwole, disclosed at the theatrical play, put together by Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), to commemorate Nigeria’s 62nd Independence Anniversary Celebration, in Abuja.

Oduwole, said: “We have been globally recognised, we have been recognized by WEB report, World Bank report. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), MIT has sought us out and is partnering with with us on our EO1 as government innovator. So, right now, we have somebody from MIT staying with us for four (4), months to work with us on EO1 to draw up a strategy on sustainability. Therefore, it is a project, we have been invited to speak on in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Washington DC, to show Nigeria’s innovative ways of doing business. We have our national actions plan, the 60 days action plan that we work on yearly. This year is the seventh. In our website, we have turned out annual reports, the EO1 ranking of agencies. We want the people to use the reforms and also give us feedback.

Speaking on the reforms and support from international donor agencies, she explained, “the idea is to institutionalise the process. In our team we have civil servants that are members, we also have consultants from the private sector.
