The co-convener, Scrum Day Nigeria, Sam Olusoga has stated that its upcoming conference will provide solutions for Nigeria’s most significant business challenges through organisational transformation.

The conference scheduled for March 5, 2025, will be held in Lagos with the theme, ‘Innovation and Products for Better Outcomes’, and will bring together 10 expert speakers in Agile, product management, business transformation, and leadership to share strategies for helping Nigerian businesses become more adaptive, resilient, and innovative.

Speaking at a press conference yesterday in Lagos, Olusoga said that “Nigeria’s business challenges and adopting modern ways of working could be beneficial for increased effectiveness.”
He noted that Nigeria’s business environment is facing critical challenges, including: economic instability, high inflation, currency fluctuations, and an unpredictable business climate make long-term planning difficult.

He explained that business agility could be the solution, saying that “business agility has been successfully adopted worldwide, boosting productivity by up to 300 per cent, reducing product development time by 40 to 60 per cent, and improving customer satisfaction by 30 per cent or more.

Olusoga highlighted that the conference will address how Nigerian businesses can build environments where teams can create products that customers continue to love despite economic and operational hurdles.

He further said that “the success of companies like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon is rooted in Agile and Scrum methodologies. Now is the time for Nigerian businesses to embrace this game-changing approach.”
