In a major shake-up of West Africa’s healthcare and laboratory industries, Informa Markets has rebranded Medic West Africa and Medlab West Africa as WHX Lagos and WHX Labs Lagos, a move designed to position the event as the region’s premier hub for medical innovation, investment, and policy-shaping discussions.

Backed by Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Health and key industry associations, the inaugural WHX Lagos and WHX Labs Lagos will take place from June, 2025, in Lagos. The rebranding aligns with Informa Markets’ global transition to World Health Exhibitions (WHX) reinforcing West Africa’s growing influence in the global healthcare ecosystem.

Director of WHX Lagos and WHX Lab Lagos, Tom Coleman, in a press statement, said, the rebranding of Medic West Africa and Medlab West Africa, after 11 successful years in Lagos, to WHX Lagos and WHX Labs Lagos marks a transformative step in bolstering the healthcare and laboratory sectors in Nigeria and the broader West African region.

„Building on Medic West Africa‘s strong legacy, this new identity reflects our commitment to providing an unparalleled platform where healthcare professionals and industry leaders can connect, innovate, and collectively shape the future of healthcare,“ Coleman averred.

By co-locating WHX Lagos and WHX Labs Lagos, Informa Markets has created a unified event that serves as a central hub for healthcare professionals, manufacturers, distributors, dealers, policymakers, investors, procurement officers, and regulators to drive critical discourse and technological advancements in the healthcare and medical laboratory industries. This integrated platform will offer direct access to the latest advancements in medical equipment, diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, digital health solutions, and laboratory science, allowing attendees to explore cutting-edge innovations that are shaping the future of healthcare.
