Police Recover 19 Stolen Vehicles In Abuja

Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, Federal Capital Territory Command have recovered 19 stolen vehicles within the Federal Capital Territory.

LEADERSHIP investigations showed that the recovery were done between January and February 2025 and the cars were stolen from various locations across the FCT.

The vehicles were reported stolen and subsequently recovered in Jos, Niger, Kaduna, and within the FCT itself.

Confirming the story, FCT police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh said one vehicle was recovered by the Maitama Division; three were recovered from Mpape Division; one recovered from Bwari Division; two vehicles were recovered by the Central Police Station.

Meanwhile, the FCT police commissioner, CP Olatunji Disu has said the FCT Police command remains committed to safeguarding the welfare of residents and protecting their property.

He urged the public to adopt proactive measures to secure their vehicles, with the installation of vehicle tracking devices.

He also called for vehicle owners to consider the implementation of supplementary security devices, such as: steering wheel locks, pedal locks, alarm systems and immobilisers.
