PDP’s Ugochukwu Okeke Wins Inspiring Political Leader Award

A prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Ugochukwu Okeke, has been honored with the Inspiring Political Leader of the Year Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to leadership and community development.

Popularly known as Enyioha, Okeke will receive the award at the AMTY Award ceremony on March 22, 2025, for his commitment to clean politics, good governance, and human capital development.

With a political career spanning over two decades, Okeke has served in various capacities within the PDP, including as a member of the party’s Board of Trustees (BOT).

A party insider praised his loyalty, saying, “He is among the few who have remained steadfast through the party’s highs and lows.”

One of the award organizers, Mr. Chinedu Okafor, highlighted Okeke’s leadership qualities, stating:”We are celebrating Enyioha because he is a builder—of people, institutions, and communities. He understands that the essence of politics is to provide good governance and uplift the lives of citizens.”

Beyond politics, Chief Okeke is widely recognized for his philanthropy, supporting initiatives that improve lives. His dedication to social welfare has earned him respect across communities.

Expressing his gratitude, Okeke said: “I am deeply humbled to receive this honor. It is a recognition not just of my efforts but also of the hard work of my supporters. I remain committed to promoting the values of good governance, justice, and equality.”

A respected politician, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, Okeke has received numerous accolades for his contributions to Anambra State’s development. He holds the Chieftaincy title of Enyioha, conferred by traditional rulers in Imo and Abia states.

The award ceremony will bring together prominent figures from various sectors to celebrate his achievements.
