Shamsudeen Bala Mohammed, son of Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammed, has made a passionate appeal to Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, urging him to prioritize youth empowerment over food handouts when visiting Bauchi for the Renewed Hope Youth Empowerment (RHYE) programme.
In a post on his Facebook page, Shamsudeen emphasised the need for sustainable empowerment initiatives, calling for employment opportunities, business capital, ICT infrastructure, and crypto trading training instead of short-term relief like rice distribution during Ramadan.
“Please teach our youths how to fish rather than feed them for one day. They are not beggars,” he wrote, stressing that Bauchi youths need lasting solutions to unemployment and economic hardship.
Referring to Seyi as “King of Boys,” Shamsudeen expressed hope that the son of the president would heed the plea and champion meaningful investments in youth development.”
His statement has sparked debate on social media, with many youths echoing his call for policies that foster economic independence rather than temporary aid. The ball is now in Seyi Tinubu’s court to respond to this bold request.
