He also added that TETFund was ready to undergo funding of iconic projects that would be of immense benefits and the pride of institutions.

Speaking at a two-day capacity building workshop on public procurement process for TETFund Beneficiary Institutions held in Lagos, the TETFund executive secretary said the aim of the workshop was ” firstly to sensitize leaders of beneficiary of tertiary institutions on our expectations because we noticed that some of the vice chancellors and rectors are new and we want them to be conversant with rules and regulations that apply to procurement.

“Secondly, we want them to imbibe the culture of planning. We want the institutions to plan ahead and not wait for funds before they plan.  We want them to select projects, rank them, prioritize them ahead, utilizing their physical planning department, budget department to realise this. Thirdly, we also want to have a culture of iconic projects that will be of great benefits to the nation. Every institution has a master plan, ten-year plan, 20 year-plan and this is to help in sustaining development for the schools.
