At least 144 people have died and hundreds are injured in Myanmar following a 7.7 magnitude earthquake yesterday.

Tremors from the earthquake were felt in neighbouring countries, including Thailand where an unfinished high-rise has collapsed.

Eighty-one construction workers are missing, the Thai deputy prime minister said, and a search and rescue operation was underway yesterday.
