Controversial Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly called Bobrisky, has disclosed that the Nigerian immigration authorities have rearrested him upon his return to the country.

Bobrisky took to Instagram on Tuesday to raise the alarm over his arrest, saying he had just been arrested without being informed of his offence.

“Guys, I have just been arrested by immigration in Nigeria. I don’t know what I did o.”

The Immigration authorities, however, were yet to confirm the crossdresser’s claim.

LEADERSHIP recalls that Bobrisky had announced a few months ago that he left Nigeria to focus on his well-being.

The reason behind his leaving the country dates back to April last year when he was arrested and sentenced to six months in prison for abusing the naira.

After his release, activist VeryDarkMan shared an audio recording in which Bobrisky allegedly claimed to have paid N15 million to some EFCC officials to have money laundering charges against him dropped.

Bobrisky, who was arrested on October 21 at the Seme border by Immigration officials for attempting to flee the country and later re-arrested on November 1, denied the authenticity of the recording and threatened legal action against VeryDarkMan.

In a recent TikTok live session, the cross-dresser revealed that he relocated to an undisclosed country where he “is officially recognised as female and receives the respect I deserve”.

“Nothing will bring me back to Nigeria. I am never living in Nigeria. If I need to come to Nigeria, it will be visitation because this country suit me,” he had said.
