The APC Grassroots Governance Group APC G3 yesterday described as commendable and timely the approval by President Bola Tinubu for the establishment of over 8,800 new Primary Healthcare Centres across the country and the upgrade of existing tertiary institutions to handle trauma, oncology, and infectious disease control.

APC G3 national coordinator, Amechi Chuks. Oyema who signed the press release, said this will deepen healthcare services in the rural areas.

The group said President Tinubu has not hidden his desire to transform the health sector since assuming office in 2023.

According to the press release, “We are yet to forget how recently President Tinubu approved subsidy for patients undergoing kidney dialysis, freeing up scarce resources for patients.

“APC G3 highly commends this recent approval of 8,800 new Primary Healthcare Centres across the country. It will certainly reduce time spent in accessing healthcare. It will also prevent fatalities as it will bring PHC closer to the people.

“APC G3 also welcomes approval to upgrade existing tertiary institutions to handle trauma, oncology, and infectious disease control. It shows our President is a listening President who feels the pulse of the people.

“We once more urge our people to support the present administration in its determination to deliver on the Renewed Hope Agenda,” APC G3 stated.
