Bauchi State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Hon. Hajara Yakubu Wanka, has commended the recent recognition of Governor Bala Mohammed as LEADERSHIP Governor of the Year 2024, applauding his remarkable contributions to infrastructural development in the state.

In a press statement yesterday by the ministry’s information officer, Adama Ibrahim, the commissioner expressed that the award did not come as a surprise, given the governor’s unwavering commitment to transformative infrastructure projects that drive sustainable development and economic growth across the state.

Describing the honour as a “well-deserved recognition,” Hajiya Wanka noted that the accolade stands as a testament to Governor Mohammed’s resilience and visionary leadership.

She reaffirmed her ministry’s commitment to supporting the governor’s developmental agenda, encapsulated in his “My Bauchi Project” blueprint.

“Your Excellency, this award is a clear reflection of your resilience, dedication and steadfast belief in creating a conducive environment for human capital development and economic prosperity in our beloved state,” the commissioner said.
