Apostle Dr Paul Akinselure, convener of Operation Rebuilding The Broken Walls And Hope Initiative, has accused Nigerian lawmakers of being self-centred and manipulative.

He disclosed this during a recent media chat in Akure, Ondo State. According to him, most of the laws Nigerian lawmakers make are to serve their own selfish and personal interests.

He said, “The laws are just to pave ways for themselves to steal, embezzle, and gather wealth, diverting public funds to enrich themselves and their unborn generations. They’re manipulating, watering, and breaking the laws they’re supposed to make, defend, protect, and enforce. It’s a pity that those we call the distinguished and the honourable lack morals, character, and integrity.

“Who are lawmakers? Lawmakers are legislators. Let’s put sentiment aside. Let’s stop deceiving ourselves. I’ve been asking this same question for a very long time because I have never heard nor seen any reasonable and tangible law made by our so-called lawmakers that is beneficial to the poor masses.”

The clergy also said Nigerians cannot continue in our sins and expect grace to abound. He urged the citizens to change their ways of life so that life can give them the best gifts.

“Our mindset and mentality about life has to change to live to fulfil our creator’s original plans and purposes here on earth. It’s time we begin to right all our wrongs in this country and move forward.

All the supposed lawmakers, law enforcement agents and the judiciary are the most corrupted, lawless, heartless and demonic entities in our dear country. It’s a pity today that all our lawmakers, from the local government to the federal levels, have been turned to rubber stamps. Normally, they’re supposed to stand and fight for the truth in the interests of the poor masses they’re claiming to be representing, but the reverse is the case in Nigeria today.”
