Kebbi Fed Varsity Receives Rescued Student

The Management of the Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK) has confirmed the receipt of its Student, Mr Augustine Madubiya, a final year student who was rescued unhurt from the kidnappers’ den by the combined team of security personnel.

The confirmation was announced by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Muhammad Zaiyan Umar, at the University’s Council chamber shortly after the rescued Student was handed over to him by the Commissioner of Police of State, CP Bello M Sani, alongside top government officials and security personnel.

Prof Zaiyan, however, said,” On behalf of the governing council, senate, management, staff and students of the FUBK, expressed our deep appreciation to the government and all Security operatives for the immediate rescue of our student, Augustine Madubiya, who was abducted three days ago at his off-campus hostel by bandits, from the hands of the kidnappers unhurt.”

The University appreciated the unwavering commitment of Governor Nasir Idris towards safeguarding the lives and properties of all state citizens,” he added.
