According to a statement released on Tuesday night by the National Cybercrime Center of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF-NCC), Miss Nneji is wanted in connection with charges bordering on ‘criminal defamation, injurious falsehood, and cyberstalking’.

The declaration was made public via the official Facebook page of the Police Force

It was gathered that Miss Nneji allegedly orchestrated a series of cyberbullying and blackmail campaigns against an Abuja-based businessman between August and September 2024. While the identity of the alleged victim remains undisclosed, sources indicated that the online harassment involved coordinated posts by Miss Nneji and her associates.

The controversy gained wider public attention on September 24, 2024, when controversial social media activist , Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, issued a public ultimatum to Miss Nneji over the matter. In a widely circulated video post, VeryDarkMan gave her 24 hours to retract her claims and issue an apology to the businessman.

“You have 24 hours to take down the defamatory content and tender an apology. If you don’t, I will come out with all the evidence and make sure the truth comes to light,” VDM warned in the video.

As of the time of filing this report, no official response has been issued by Miss Nneji or the Nneji family. The Nigeria Police has urged members of the public with useful information about her whereabouts to report to the nearest police station or contact the National Cybercrime Center in Abuja.
