Buni commended Fune Emirate council for the honour and promised to execute and protect the functions

of the office of Sardauna, charging the people of the Fune Emirate to live peacefully irrespective of their ethno-cultural and political differences.

The governor was decorated with a traditional regalia of the Sardauna symbolising his new status in the Emirate council.

In another development, Governor Buni has appointed Alhaji Isa Shettima (Amando) as the project coordinator for SMARTEd Project, a collaborative initiative between the Yobe State government and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB).
