Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Yobe North senatorial district, Hon Ilu Bello, has called on the state and federal government to immediately assist victims of flood disasters in Gashua, Nguru and other affected local government areas in the state.
In a sympathy message which was made available to LEADERSHIP in Damaturu, the senatorial candidate said, “My heart goes out to the victims of the flood disaster that ravaged different parts of my constituency and Yobe State at large”.
He called on the federal government to wade in, considering the magnitude of the flood that affected many parts of the state.
According to him, “At this critical time, I urge the state government, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) as well as individuals to quickly come to the aid of the victims. I commiserate with families of the deceased.”
