IAWPA Celebrates President Weah As Eminent Peace Ambassador

..... as first African President to win the prestigious award

The International Association oIf World Peace Advocates IAWPA a world class peace advocacy organization has concluded plans to host a special celebration in honour of His Excellency, Amb. George, President of Liberia on 29th November 2022 as the first African sitting president to become an Eminent Peace Ambassador of the association since 2018 till date.

This was disclosed to reporters after an event that took place in Osun State during the international flags hoisting ceremony at the business premises of Amb. Abiodun Rafiu on Monday 10th Oct. 2022.

The spokesperson of the association, Amb. Dr. Emmanuel Nkweke said that President George Weah has shown good leadership quality which the association is proud of as an Eminent Peace Ambassador. The statement added that the event will have a side event to showcase his post 2022 birthday celebration in Nigeria and peace efforts which has seen Liberia maintain a status of being a relatively peaceful country in the continent.

In a separate speech, Amb. HRM OBA KABIRU ADELAJA AGBABIAKA, THE OSOLO OF ISOLO KINGDOM LAGOS STATE who was inducted as an Eminent Peace Ambassador on the same day accepted to host the ceremony in Lagos State so as to afford him the opportunity to flag off his international flag hoisting at his palace.

The International Director, Amb. Prof. Chidi Ehiriodo applauded His Royal Majesty Amb Oba Kabiru Adelaja for his acceptance to host the event and also express gratitude to Amb. Abiodun Rafiu for the success of his birthday celebration and praised him for his gesture for touching lives of widows and orphan children who were bestowed with numerous gift items to mark his birthday.

The World Peace President from Denmark who presented the award to Amb. Kabiru Adelakja Agbabiaka as Eminent Peace Ambassador promised to be present at the ceremony pointing that he will use his office to invite the international community to participate in the ceremony while eulogizing Amb. Sammy David, Country Director of the association in Liberia as a man of no equal who has shown transparency, dedication and good mindedness in all his efforts for the association in Liberia which is yielding positive goals.

In his words, he said, “I am short of words to describe my inestimable joy over the contribution of Amb. Sammy David for taking the association to many countries in Africa particularly his consistent effort in participating in various United Nations events in New York for peace in Africa and world at the large.
