A group, Arewa Youths Progressive Assembly, has called on the United Kingdom to deport activist Dr Sandra Duru for constituting a public nuisance.

This was contained in a statement signed by the group’s national president, Shuaibu Usman, and the national secretary, Abdul Kefas Gambo, and made available to journalists.

Their demand came amid controversy stoked by Duru when she claimed that Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan allegedly attempted to induce her with N200 million to falsely accuse former Akwa Ibom governor, Godswill Akpabio, of organ harvesting.

During her live video, Duru, known as Prof Mgbeke, claimed not to have had any contact with Senator Akpabio.

Reacting to the developments, the youth group said Duru had become an embarrassment and should be deported by the UK authorities.

The group said the alleged discovery of Akpabio’s call log on Duru’s phone proved that she is a serial blackmailer.

“The United Kingdom should not shield such a character.

“Apart from the now-discovered baseless claims she made about Senator Natasha and her denial of having any contact with Senator Akpabio, she accused well-respected Mrs Oby Ezekwesili of engaging in bribery.

“With the emerging facts, she should be hiding her face in shame, just like her enablers, who have refused to stop at anything to bring Senator Natasha down.

“The United Kingdom, a decent country, should not be a haven for such characters, who are hiding under the banner of activism to spread falsehood and instigate chaos in society,” the group stated.
