Motorists and residents of Kaduna metropolis have continued to experience hardship as they source for fuel amid long queues in filling stations.
LEADERSHIP findings in Kaduna yesterday showed that black marketers who sell petrol in jerry-cans were selling a litre of the product for N300 and even more.
It was observed that the majority of filling stations in Kaduna do not have the product to dispense to their customers. Some of the filling stations that managed to have the product were selling a litre for N185 and N190.
A commercial driver, who identified himself as Shehu Aminu told our correspondent Monday night that: “Only today some of us are buying a litre of fuel at the rate of N220, N230 in some filling stations in the morning but now the fuel is not in most filling stations in Kaduna. Government should do something before things get out of hands.” Some of the marketers who spoke with LEADERSHIP complained about epileptic supply of petroleum products.
