Nigerian Bottling Company Wins ‘Best Sustainability Project’ Award

Nigerian Bottling Company Limited (NBC), the authorised bottling partner of the Coca-Cola Company in Nigeria, has been honoured with the Best Sustainability Project of the Year award at the 2024 edition of The Industry Awards.

The recognition was for its recently commissioned Packaging Collection Hub in Apapa, Lagos, an initiative that exemplifies NBC’s commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible business practices.

“Understanding Changing Consumer Preferences in a Troubled FMCG Space,” highlighted the importance of innovation and adaptability in the face of economic challenges and evolving consumer demands.

Accepting the award on behalf of NBC, Oluwasoromidayo George, the corporate affairs & sustainability director, expressed appreciation to the organisers, describing the recognition as “a powerful motivation for us to do even more in promoting environmental responsibility.”

She reaffirmed NBC’s commitment to sustainability-driven innovation, noting that the Packaging Collection Hub was designed to boost recycling rates, promote sustainable packaging practices and reduce environmental impact.
