PDP Group Empowers 40,000 Women In Zamfara

The “G15” group under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has empowered 40,000 women in Zamfara State.

The group under the chairmanship of Comrade Mannir Haidara at a press conference in Gusau said it had visited all 14 local government areas of the state where cash, assorted food items and cloths were distributed to women.

Comrade Mannir who is also the chairman of Kaura Namoda local government area, said the aim of the G15 group was to support the underprevidged to compliment Governor Dauda Lawal’s efforts.

According to him, Governor Lawal deserves  support and encouragement in propelling the state higher.

Haidara said in Gusau local government area alone, the group had shared funds to women in addition to assistance given in other local government areas.

He said the group would in the second phase focus on youth development, stressing that it was expected to come up with the next plan of action immediately after the Eid-El Kabir celebration.
