Governor Sani said without allowing local governments to have autonomy, poverty and unemployment cannot be addressed properly in Nigeria.

Underscoring Kaduna State’s commitment to agriculture, Governor Sani pointed out that the sector contributed about 43% to Nigeria’s GDP and employed around 60% of the workforce, adding that ‘’in Kaduna State, we are fighting poverty through agriculture. We want to remain the agricultural hub of Nigeria.’’

The governor noted that no government has invested in agriculture like President Tinubu’s administration within the last two years.

Governor Sani , who spoke at the distribution of presidential palliative relief material at Umaru Yar’Adua Conference Centre on Sunday, further said that President Tinubu has made interventions that have reduced the level of poverty in the North.
