The Presidency has reaffirmed President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to religious neutrality and unity, stating that the Nigerian leader remains unbiased in his dealings with all faith groups across the country.
This assurance was made on Sunday by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Communications, Sunday Dare, via a post on his verified X handle, following President Tinubu’s arrival at the Vatican for the official Mass marking the beginning of the pontificate of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV.
“President Tinubu leads a multi-religious nation and remains unbiased against any,” Dare wrote. “His creed: though tribe, tongue and religion may differ, in nationhood we stand — united.”
Dare further noted that the President’s presence at the Vatican, accompanied by four top Nigerian clergymen, underscored his inclusive leadership style and deep respect for all religious traditions.
“President Tinubu is purposed to serve all citizens irrespective. His visit to the Vatican alongside four top clergymen resonates clearly in this direction,” the presidential aide added.
