All Progressives Congress support group operating under the aegis of Cross River State Political Network (CRISPON), has pledged to rally behind Governor Bassey Otu and President Bola Tinubu for second term in 2027.

This declaration was made during a mega rally in Calabar, attended by thousands of party faithful and leaders from across the state’s 196 wards in Calabar at weekend.

The group’s director general, Dr. Michael Abuo, highlighted the success of their grassroots mobilisation efforts, citing over 7,000 participants from the northern senatorial district alone, with thousands more from other districts.

Abuo emphasised CRISPON’s determination to ensure Otu and Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
While assuring the APC of the group’s unwavering loyalty, Abuo said, “There is no vacancy in 2027. We are politically and totally in support of Tinubu and Otu.”

For his part, Cross River State Gov. Bassey Otu addressed the crowd via telephone conversation, which was conducted by the group director general DG of CRISPON.

He expressed appreciation for the overwhelming support and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and development.

“My spirit is completely there with all of you. I assure you that there will be more appointments and opportunities for everyone. I implore you to continue to believe in what you are doing. We are moving forward and not backward,” Otu said.

Otu described the group as number one support group of the APC, pledging that his administration will appoint more youths into places of authority.
