A leading civil society group, the National Civil Society Forum of Professionals (NCSFP), has called on the federal government to consider appointing Dr Raymond Edoh into a leadership role in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
The appeal was made during a press conference held in Abuja , where the group praised Dr Edoh’s loyalty, character, and contribution to the success of President Tinubu’s 2023 election victory.
Speaking at the briefing, the forum’s president, Alhaji Danjuma Harouna, described Dr Edoh as the president’s “loyal and worthy political son,” hailing his intellect, leadership charisma, and deep passion for national development.
“We visited Dr Edoh recently and found in him the same visionary qualities as President Tinubu,” Harouna said.
“He is optimistic about Nigeria’s future and has sound ideas on curbing insecurity, reducing poverty, and fostering development through sustainable funding mechanisms.”
According to Harouna, Dr Edoh, despite holding no official position in the current administration, remains committed to supporting Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
“He’s already throwing his political weight behind the President and working tirelessly in line with the administration’s agenda,” he added.
Dr Edoh, who has been active across various political platforms, youth movements, and international organisations, was praised for his commitment to youth empowerment and community development.
“He believes in empowering people through mentorship, financial support, capacity building, and national orientation programmes,” Harouna noted.
The organisation’s vice president, Hajia Juwairat Aliyu, echoed the call, describing Dr Edoh as a disciplined and diligent young leader known for his humility and integrity.
“One of the best steps this government can take is to appoint Dr Raymond Edoh,” Aliyu stated.
“His dedication to duty and brilliance make him an ideal fit to support the Renewed Hope Agenda.”
Aliyu also commended President Tinubu for repaying Nigeria’s longstanding IMF loan and urged the administration to prioritise youth inclusion in governance.
“We must invest in the next generation of leaders,” she said, adding that Dr Edoh embodies the promise of a brighter future for Nigeria.
