The Federal Capital Territory, FCT’s male football team at the ongoing 2024 National Sports Festival (NSF) has opened its campaign with a resounding victory against Borno State.

The FCT team beat their opponents 4-1 in the game played om Monday morning at the training pitch of Remo Stars in Ikenne, Ogun State.

Paul scored the three goals in the first half to ensure that the 2018 champions of the National Sports Festival football event had a commanding grip on the match.

The resumption of the second half saw Borno State scoring a goal but Titus Meshach Waziri ensured that the game was put beyond the “Home of Peace” boys as he made it 4-1 on the 75th minute.

Speaking after the victory, Assistant Coach of the FCT and former Super Falcons star, Coach Mary Godspower Benny told journalists that the result put the team in good stead going into the football event.
