APC Fixes FCT Chairmanship, Councillorship Nomination Forms At N20m, N2.5m

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has pegged its expression of interest and nomination forms for chairmanship and councillorship positions in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council elections at N20m million and N2.5 million, respectively.

LEADERSHIP reports that the FCT Area Council election is slated for February 21, 2026.

In a schedule of activities and timetable for the election released by the APC national organising secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, on Tuesday, FCT chairmanship aspirants will pay N5 million for the expression of interest form and N15 million for the nomination form, amounting to a total sum of N20 million.

For the councillorship position, aspirants will pay N500,000 for the expression of interest form and N2 million for the nomination form, totalling N2.5 million payable by an aspirant.

According to the schedule, female aspirants and aspiring Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) are to purchase only the expression of interest form while the nomination form is free for them.

It further stated that youth from age 25 to 40 are to purchase the expression of interest form with a 50% discount on the nomination form.

APC also disclosed that the sale of the nomination forms will be between Thursday this week and Wednesday next week while next week Thursday will be the deadline for the submission of the completed nomination forms, adding that the primary election will be held on June 25, 2025.
