The call was made yesterday in Abuja at the annual Feast of Barracuda, which has the theme”Thriving Beyond Hardship: Unlocking Nigeria’s Resources for Financial Stability and Economic Growth.”

The keynote speaker, Prof. Adesoji Adesugba, 1st deputy president, Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry, while delivering his address, emphasised the need for the government to address the rising poverty levels and economic challenges facing Nigerians.

He said, “Poverty eradication and economic growth are critical issues that require urgent attention. We urge the government to prioritize policies that will stimulate economic growth, create jobs, and improve the standard of living for Nigerians.”

He added that economic diversification, education, skills development and infrastructure development, are necessary ingredients in building a prosperous society for all.
