All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ohafia South state constituency, Hon Dike Okoro Uche has said God’s hand is upon the APC’s governorship candidate, High Chief Ikechi Emenike.
Uche spoke in an interview with LEADERSHIP Weekend in Ohafia while reacting to the affirmation of the candidature of Emenike by the Court of Appeal Abuja Division yesterday.
“Like they say, you can’t stop an idea whose time has come. The time to change Abia narrative has come. With Emenike on the driving seat of the change, the destination is assured,” he said.
He solicited the understanding, cooperation, and support of every member of the party to achieve the idea, “which is for the common good of the people of the state. Abia must be liberated now for good.”
In further affirming Emenike’s candidature, the appellate dismissed an application filed by Obinna Oriaku Eze, a jugment delivered on September 2, 2022.
The panel dismissed the former governorship aspirant’s application with N100,000 cost in favour of each of the three respondents – APC, APC chairman and Emenike.
The court gave the one-time Abia commissioner for finance hard knocks for bringing a frivolous application having conceded in his evidence that Emenike won the May 26 APC governorship primaries.
The judgement brings to 20 the number of legal hurdles the development economist and journalist has surmounted in his bid to occupy the Government House in 2023.
